Coral is the backbone of the tropical reefs of the world. It creates and balances the lifeforms that dwell in it.

Spiffy, though I agree with above artist that a bit more coral would have been more convincing. But maybe you didn't mean that he summons coral? Maybe he is summoning ~from~ the coral?

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "He was meant to be the spirit of the reef; creator of all the creatures on the reef."

actually I'm afraid of sharks and I don't like deep water. It's not that I don't like sharks, I have just a very deep respect of them. But in your pic they look really friendly. and the summoner looks very interesting... cool idea by the way 1

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "I don't think I was going for 'friendly' per say with the sharks, just nuetral. Sharks are an important part of the reef comunity after all. "

Awesomes sharks! Is that Gollum? 12

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "No, not Gollum. It’s supposed to be a coral god or spirit."

I love sharks; I want to study them in college. Fascinating creatures, older than god only knows what, perfection! Yay!

From the ocean comes all life, and to the ocean all life will return.

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Indeed, indeed. Sharks were among the first fish in the sea if my memory is right."

oh, this looks great, I love the way it looks so sketchy and your technique of shading. It really looks awesome

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Thanks, it sort of a very refined sketch, I just sort of added the details as they came to mind."

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Thank you. "

beautiful shark studies!

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Studies imply using references. I’m pretty sure I didn’t use any references in this piece."

sorry, i should have explained a bit more. When i said ’studies’ i didn’t mean to imly that you used references, i just meant that they are excellent drawings of sharks - very realistic......that’s all, i didn’t intend to snub your drawings, or your pride 16
sorry

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "No offence was taken at all. After all it’s quite acceptable to use references (though some people don’t seem to get the difference between ’referencing’ and ’copying&rsquo12"
