[Edit] Better scan now. Also retitled the image to what it was originally intended to be. It's Ancient Greek for 'go to hell'. Literally it means 'throw [yourself] to the crows'. It would have to be my favorite phrase from a semester's worth of Greek.

My rendition of Yana P. Vaseva's character Untitler. I looked at a reference, did most of the details the rather foolishly looked up the reference again thus noticing all the errors in the design. Oh well, I still like the result.

He's A3 in size done with various grades of pencil. Unfortunately I have a habit of using the lighter grades more, making it a bloody pain to scan at times. His torso anatomy is completely out of proportion for a human but then he's not exactly human, besides I think it looks good.

Technically Untitler doesn't actually weild any weapons, he's got more than enough spikes already. But I highly doubt he'd be adverse to having a shiny ofr Christmass ;)

Heh heh you know, his hair just above the face reminds me of Murdoc from Gorillaz =P I like how you did the feathers of the wing, and the cloth. Cloth looks amazing 2

Also, hahah... the thoughts that run through my mind when I look at it indicate I’ve been playing too much Spore recently 1 "his graspers look like they’re Strike lv 3... tail seems to add Charm 4, while the horns are only Charge lv2..." 1 Don’t mind me

Shading’s great, particularly the cloth and thighs, and of course the wings. Design difference doesn’t matter, it’s pretty accurate anyway, and the new design is cool. It’s interesting how you’re not the first person to interpret the toes this way.

If you want me to be my usual bragging self now, I can only say that the hands seem different in length, but that’s the only thing 2

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Don’t know the names of the Gorillaz but I know what they look like and I agree- just a coincidence though.

The wing looks much better in reality. The scanner flatened the shading.

Okay you have been playing a bit too much Spore then. I’m yet to get into it. Mind you I can’t really talk- I’ve gon back to playing FFVII.... how many times is it now?"

Cause comment would get too long, I’m writing another:

Thank you for this wonderful picture 2

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "No worries. And hey the long comment-reply worked this time.

I felt I should have a demon in the gallery, or at least demon like creature. "

Greatly done, beautiful drawing. 1

If we can talk technical for a moment? Surely you could adjust the levels or the contrast in whatever you use? Being A3 I take it you had to scan it twice hence the slightly darker ’bar’ in the middle. Yeah I know picky!

Do I detect a Sephiroth train of thought in the face and hair?

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Okay yes I did go back to playing FFVII breifly- a new game to get up to the explanation of the Nibleheim incident and an old game to finnaly get the master command materia. But no, Yana’s version has long pale hair (one reason why I wanted to draw him).

There is only so far you can go with adjusting the contrast before patches begin to apear in what you though was smoth shading. I didn’t actually notice the dark band before I uploaded it kinda unfortunately."

Wow, that’s very good, he looks mean... 0.o

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Well, I don’t think he’s meant to be a nice guy."

I can see it, a little more detail now with the new scan.

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "I’m not sure about more detail but definitely better without the center line."
4 Jan 2009:-) Yana P. Vaseva
Scan is a little more detailed now, yes... 2 Title sounds cool 12

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Shame the pronounciation won’t be too obvious...and I couldn’t get the characters either. Meh."

Really good Shelz!11 And I didn’t know that "balle" was ancient Greece. I don’t think I will tell You what it means in Swedish...17 Happy New Year!

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Oh....is it something inapropirate? I can always abreviate it to ’ball’ as the final epsilon (no it’s not an e) does get elided (dropped off)."

But... he’s so cool!
