YES- This is a picture of an anthropomorphic victorian lampshade.

YES- He is holding an umbrella up inside.

NO- I don't know why.

YES- There is probably some logic behind this picture, however my subconcious is not very forthcoming.

NO- I don't normally do this sort of thing (Surreal or Anthro art).

NO- He did not eat your Fish. Or your chips.

NO- no one seemed to notice that I'd misspelled 'anthro' wrong every sinngle time.

A3 + 4H, HB, 2B, 5B pencils.

Reminds me totally to Magritte work! Nice! ^^

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "I’m not at all familiar with their work, except the one of a guy with an apple infront of his face. But after looking up their stuff I’d agree with you."

Wow: greatly drawn. And I like the surrealist concept, it makes me think too a Magritte painting. 1

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Had to look up the artist, but yes there certainly is some semblance. Perhaps it was simply my subconcious brining up a vague memorey of one of their paintings that inspire this?"

Aaaaaa................ A lamp-man!?*remains amazed*...................Umh...... Nice!( i think...)

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "I certainly hope it’s nice- some of the details were a real pain to do."

Yes, yes it is.
5 Jan 2009:-) Dave Cripps
Someone must have had me cod and chips!
Yes Magritte. Surreal in the extreme, but surely that suit is way to modern. A nice quilted smoking jacket would be nice. 12

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "I don’t know about modern- I used a pic I found on the net and my Grandad’s old suit (which my younger brother got given) as reference. The net pic would certainly have been fairly recent but the other one not so.

I’ll agree a smoking jacket would have worked well too. But he’s a bowler clad British buisness man."

Surely you mean lampshade clad.... 12

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Oh right, yes of course."

reminds me of Salvidor Dali’s (is he the right one??) style! great pencil work, again *bowbowbow*

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Er more likely it’s Magritte."
25 Apr 2009:-) Natalie Adams
*eesh*
yeah, sorry (again) i had the artist in my head as soon as i saw the pic, but Salvidor Dali was the first name that came, so i got mixed up....soz 16
i think maybe i should just go......*plods off*

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "I only found out the name of the artist once people had commented on the picture."

...Disturbing O_o My nightmares will probably be rife with anthropomorphic lamps now...but well done 2

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "Well there could be worse things..."

Umm... wow! Haha. I like this a lot. Very neat. Maybe you should do more surreal stuff like this, it’s pretty awesome and you did a good job! 2

:-) Shelz Keast replies: "I will do more like it, if my subconsious gives me ideas."
